Title: Dadgumit!
Post by: Tower on February 01, 2014, 09:51:13 pm
I thought I had a winning streak going with my notching, but my ego brought me crashing back to earth.  I was cleaning up my notches when it broke. Oh well maybe a can save the tip.

Daggumit!  Aww come on now, that isn't what you said. ;)  Well it will still make a nifty knife!  I would be happy just get the blade made!  But it is good to see that even the gurus, occasionally break some also.  Not meaning I am glad to see you occasionally break one also.  And because I still can't make a pretty point, just a functional point.  Yeah, the deer, or other critter isn't going to care if it is pretty, or not.  But still I would like to be able to consistently make a decent point.  Or be able to make a set that are at least close in size weight, and style.  Not happening yet. :(  Nonetheless, I hate to see it break, but it does kind of ease the irritation of breaking a point that I think is finally going to look fairly decent.

In that case, I would look the other way while you applied the super glue...... Just saying.   That is a crying shame.

Those are sweet notches Don. There will be another rock to work on, but that is a shame. now go GLUE IT!  ;D IF you don't like it, you can send it to me.  >:D Love those unparallel notches though. dp

What do you do with a point that large?

Don crazy glue it and get a little frame and hang it on the wall or sell it in a frame!  It still is a great piece regardless!  At least you didn't spen 2 hours making a beautiful point just to knock it off onto a concrete floor and break it into 3 pieces.  Talk about "P" Owed!!!  :o

It happens to even the best of us!
