Title: black smithing book

What is the one go to  smitty book you guys would reccomend? Im not a total smitty idiot just looking for an all encompassing or close book.

when i was first starting i learned a ton from a book i got from the library, i think it was called The Country Blacksmith or maybe The Complete Country Blacksmith, i can't remember excactly what it was called,but it is a great book. another good one is The Modern Blacksmith.

to be honest I have yet to find the all encompassing book.
I have picked up a few thing from every book I have bought.
or got from the library.
I guess it all depends on what projects you are most focused on.
weather it be cutlery of the more artist smithing.

I have two, "Practical Blacksmithing and Metalworking" by Percy Blandford and "The Art of Blacksmithing" by Alex Bealer. Both okay books, but I'd check your local library and read what they have before buying anything. Some libraries will even get books for you if you ask. Save you some $$ that way. My thoughts, dpg
