Sometime back I had mentioned that I was working on a shirt, and said that I would post it when I finished it. I am not completely satisfied with the finished product, but for now, here's a photo of it. The quill wrapped hair locks were done by Tomas Giesl from Czechoslovakia. The rest of the shirt, I did myself. It is patterned after a shirt that was owned by the Cheyenne, Lean Bear. I have changed a few things, but it is very similar to the original. Curtis

Very nice indeed, great job on that. :)

Very nice. Could you put it on and show us a front and back view?

Yes, please, would like to see that, too.
What colors did you use??

Thanks to you all. I'll try to get a photo with it on. The green paint is just a powdered pigment that I had in a jar. I can get the yellow about 15 or 20 miles from my house, but it comes in a rock form and has to be ground. I will eventually get around to making another one of these things, but I need to tan some hides first. I am running out of material! CC

Been waiting on this to be posted. Looks great Curt. The hair locks finished it off nicely. Par-excellence!

Okay, here's the shirt on. Sorry for the quality of the photo. I'm not good with a timer. CC

How did you get Fabio to model for you?

Fabio looks older, fatter and grayer!

Don't we all! ;)
Very nice shirt! One of these days I gonna make one and only hope it comes out half as nice as tis one.

Again, awesome work, are the black and white bands beads?
-
That's awesome, nice job!
-
It's beautiful...

Thanks again everyone. Badly, the strips are beaded with white and navy/ cobalt blue. I think the original shirt had black beads though. In plains beadwork, black beads were used somewhat sparingly. Not that they weren't used, but very dark blue tended to be used more commonly. Curtis
