Title: had to abandon hickory harvest

I i cut this nice  shagbark hickory down and into sections when a bad storm ran me out i wont be able to return fora week or two  have i lost the tree?

Probably not if you get it as soon as possible, get it divided up into staves and on the drying rack. Fungi needs moisture to survive.
