Title: A fun little red oak character bow
Post by: Dauntless on June 05, 2014, 06:18:10 pm
This bow was made from a stave that might have been more suitable for the firewood pile. Lots of knots and twists on this one. I probably spent more time with the heat gun than with other tools. I could have heated more kinks out at that.

She's a reflex deflex bow with a very smooth 25 lbs of draw at 28". The upper limb is a little longer than the lower one. 63 inches nock to nock, 1 1/2" wide in the limb although it's wider around the knots. I don't know how much set it took with all the heat gun sessions.
