Title: My black locust flatbow"Loki", 32#@28"
Post by: Benedikt on June 15, 2014, 01:58:55 pm
So, here's my first presentation  :)

This bow was my first black locust bow.
He was built a few month ago.
When is was bending the recurves, I've got some cracks there and I decided to try Brush Nocks, so I've rasped it down and glued on some padouk.
On the back, I glued some "snakeskin"(Not really snakeskin. It is that, what snakes throw off during the molt)
The overlays are made from water buffalo horn.
I hope you like it :)

Material:black locust, padouk
Length:62"
Drawweight:30#@27", 32#@28"( I just draw him to 27", because he's very short for black locust  ;D )

Very nice bow and an excellent first bow. The shed snake skin and the brush nocks really add to the bow's appearance.   8)

Thanks to  everyone  :)
That is really a big motivation  ;D

@Buckeye Guy: I did nothing with it, just glued it on.I think, when it'sd glued on, you can see the colours better  :)

I'm sure, you'll see more from me ;D

Some guys have it and others don't,  referring to me as the later.  ;)   Outstanding craftsmanship. Your bow is an inspiration.
