This was my last piece of this dark orange osage from a tree I cut around 4 years ago. Ive made 3 other bows from this same stuff and all of them turned out to be fine shooters and took very little set so I figured it would be a good candidate for a short hunting weight bow. I got carried away scraping early on and got the tips too thin so I added a couple lams of hickory to hold the reflex. Took a couple heat sessions to get out the prop twist and get the string tracking good but she lines up now.
Stats: 52"ntn, 52lbs@26, 1.5" reflex, hickory tips and underlays.
Thanks for looking

That's a good up close n personal hunting design rig right there...very similar to one I use for shorter up close n tight situations ;) good luck with it!!!

Thats a nice looking little bow. Looks like fun to shoot.

Nice bow there Okie. Looks alot like the profile most of my bendys have. Stiff outers on a half circle bow usually make a fast shooter. I like it man.

No doubt about it that one should knock 'em down Okie, looks like a serious hunting bow. I like the design, the specs and the way you got it bending. That looks like some dense and durable osage too, nice work on that one.

Thanks Blackhawk, most of my stands are 10 yards and under so to me that is pretty up close and personal with a whitetail. Its amazing how close they will come to ya in a stand if you got the right wind.
Thanks weylin
Thanks Ryan, it is a pleasure to shoot.
Thanks Jon
Thanks Greg, this is some of the densest osage Ive had my hands on. The rings are pretty small but almost no earlywood, almost looks like hickory earlywood.
Thanks arrowind
