I've been making and breaking bows now since around 1990.
I've had so much fun and I've met so many nice folks.
Anyway, here is my latest bow. It's made from a hickory stave. 47# at 26 in.

Kind of a tease. This may end up in an article for PA which I need to put the finishing touches on.
We'll see.
Here are some wild rose arrows I made for my daughter for a shoot.
The shafts came from my backyard.

Thanks for looking. It's been awhile since I posted some photos.

Very nice tiller Jawgey. But, who is the old guy drawing your bow....?
Im glad you posted a few. Its good to see.

Another nice bow from you George. Love to see it whenever you post a bow. Do you know how many people you coerced to become addicted?
-
Nice bends 8) and so they should be from you.
-
Thanks, Del. It is good to be seen!
Thanks, Rich. That bow came from a clean stave for sure.
Thanks, PD. I wonder who that old guy is, too. But I'm still having fun. I just don't make as many as I used to. But the new guys have stepped right in nicely which is good to see.
Thanks, Fred. That is good to hear. I've just tried to always portray by bow making as fun.
Thanks, dwardo.

As a newbie who "knows" George only from his forum posts and, most importantly, from his site articles . . . I thought exactly the same thing!! But, in George's case, I'm sure "he doesn't get older, he just gets better" applies. And these pics seem to confirm that.

Mmmmm, what can anyone say...it bends right!

Thanks, Knoll and JW.
Hickory is really a good bow wood. Clean staves make for nice tillers.

Nice Jawge! it's always been a pleasure when you post a bow, glad to see you are still at it. Seems like I've slowed down also. I've been making them and giving them away lately, but not posting as many as I used to. I've got a new computer and it's a pain to download pictures and then post them.
-
Thanks for your many contributions George.
-
Thanks, mullet. Glad you like it.
You are welcome, Jon.

Awesome! Like that one a bunch.

She is bending very nice Jawge! Don't let them young whipper snappers get to you - they wouldn't know nuffin without the old guys helping them out!! ;) ;)
-
Thanks, blackhawk. I have not posted many bows. It has been a few years.
Thanks, Slimbob. Thanks, mwsborn. Don't worry. :)

Great looking bow and tiller George! Its always good to see the oldtimers post some pics. You probably have no idea how many prople you have influenced with your website. Your website and the tbbs were my only resources when I first made the move from compound to primitive and decided that I was going to build myself just one bow to hunt with:) Thanks

It is good to see the work of someone whom freely hands out advice....the proof is in the pudding so to speak....can't wait to see the rest of the pictures in the magazine ;)

Thanks, Tracy. Interestingly, my daughter asked me to make her some wild rose arrows. She's a chip off the old blockhead. :)

Nice bow George. Great to see you posting bow pics again. I do miss your old sweats though. ;)

Pat B, thanks. I still wear them but fill them out a little more. :) Jawge

Nice to see your work George. I consider you and Pappy Baggett my main influences even though I bet Pappy has no recollection of our encounter and I have yet to meet you n person. A conversation with Pappy while waiting out a rain shower at Twin Oaks lit the spark and your web site gave me the guidance to jump on in! Can't wait to see your next one.
