I had an unbelievably awesome time at mojam! This was my first time but it won't be my last!
I would like to see that if everyone that took pictures would post them here? I only got a few, and would like to see what all I missed. I will be on later to post some of the pics I got once I can get them uploaded tonight.
P.s. I would like to say a special thank you to to a young man that inspired me a lot the last few day's. RJ your an awesome young man!
Also a big thank you to, Dave, Eric, Neil, Kent, Loyd, Lynn, Tim, Bob, No Nose, and so many more that I can't remember the name's. You guy's are awesome, and have an amazing wealth of knowledge and aren't afraid to share it.
I felt like part of a family even though I had never met you all in person until Thursday morning! Patrick

Here are a few pics that I got. The first couple are of an English long bow with a 125lb draw. First two are the owner of the bow shooting, then one of me shooting it. The arrows are 1/2" ash with a weight of 1750 grains. Then a few shots of some first bows being made, there was a lot of first bows worked on and finished this year. Mine was one of them as well!

Thanks for sharing your pics Patrick! As usual, I got to having such a good time that I forgot to take any. BTW, the fellow with the warbow is the notorious John Murray. I believe Murray is his last name anyway. Josh
-
Yeah I remember meeting him and talking to him for a while. He just happened to be one of the name's I forgot! Thanks Gun Doc, and it was nice visiting with you 2! Patrick
-
Thats my wife's quilt that James is showing off, he proceeded to defile it in a way that I think is irreversible.
-
That's funny Tom Sawyer, (I forgot your name but remember your face) sometimes you have to run things through a double wash cycle! Tell your wife I said that is a beautiful quilt! Is it hand stitched or machine sewn? Either way it was beautiful! I watched my grandma and my mom make that stuff all the time. Patrick
-
Here is a pic of Dave, with his patented pencile in the beard. Thanks buddy for all the help you gave me on my bow's. And especially a big thanks for all of the work you put in helping all of the young men and women that was making their first bow! I hope to come up with something awesome for that stave you gave me! Patrick.

She sewed and quilted it with a sewing machine, hand stitched the edge.
Patrick you got that war bow back real good!
My wife has some pics, I'll see if I can get some posted soon.
-
Hey thanks Tom, it wasn't as hard to draw as I thought it would be. That said, it was still pretty stout!
She done a really good job!
-
Yep, Dave is a real stand up guy and he'll give you the shirt off his back. Yes, he has. Literally. Dave, I owe you big time.
-

Ol' Dave is a keeper for sure!
-
Dave's beard is a heck of a pencil keeper too! ;D
Keep the pics coming guys. I've never been to MoJam but it is, and has been on my bucket list since it began.
-
I did a particularly poor job of taking pictures at MOJAM this year. I get so caught up in the fun stuff that I forget to make pictures of it all.
Posted below are a few I managed to collect from my brother, my son and my nephews. I promise, next year I'll take a moment to snap a few pix of all the fun!
I'm just glad nobody has come up with pix of certain fools that might have gone target shooting at 2 AM when they were far too "into their cups" to have any business handling projectile weapons! :-X

I think Dave keeps a tape measure in that beard also

I heard he is likely to have a T-square, a couple draw knives, and most the parts for a fully functional Band Saw as well if you catch him at the right moment! :o 8)

Don't forget two owls and a hen, four larks and a wren.

Well guys the fun is just starting! Eric, here is one of those pics of the late night shooting, more like about 230 a.m. the picture you all have been waiting for! The explosion!
Here is one of Dave's bow's in action!
The first shot by my good buddy Devon the first time he ever shot a selfbow, man that bow was fast!

The second shot was a little short!

Oh man that hurts!! Great picture though, one in a million.
-
Never posted pictures here; but we'll give it a shot. Had to resize them all so if anyone wants a copy of any of them, I have the larger original. Sam
-
More pics from MoJam. Sam
-
Last few pics, promise.

Wow what a week. I had. I took a few pics but photobucket is giving me he'll so I think I'm going to have to try somewhere else.
I met so many new people this year and so far I remember most of their names. I got to sample all of Lenny's wares, including most of the bottle of red wine at the auction. Man o man Lenny, that stuff is awesome!
I got to share some pie and a campfire, weber kettle style with sam, one bow, no nose, howard, nate, and my dad who decided to come camp with me again this year.
Also got to share pie with about everyone I met.
I got to play in the drum circle with Brad, tim, wayne, Randy and ben. Jeff was there too but I don't think he remembers it as well as the rest of us. Lol
I finally got to meet Gifford this year as well. It was a pleasure chatting with you sir. Also glad I was able to help you out. ;)
Pat, devin, and Darin. You guys were so great. Your leather work is outstanding. You are both stand up guys and I hope to see you again next year.
I shared some wine and needed rest at bobs camp and also met his wife. I hope she comes back again as well.
And then to top it off as I was leaving I was gifted a very special bow that I'll post later in the campfire section after I get some pics.
-
Dave, I'm glad to see you check in! With this being my fists mojam and you helping of finish my first Osage bow it's something I will never forget! I think the stave you gave me was cool, and I think the way it's split it may have to be two bows. But we will see, I will be there with them for you to see next year! Patrick
-
Great pics Sam! Thanks for putting them up and I'm glad you were able to get our goofy dog in that one too. :)
That one of the exploding bow is pretty impressive Patrick. Ouch...
-
it's good to see the safety official present at the time of wreckage.....blaze orange and all >:D

I nominate Sam-I-Am for official MOJAM Photographer! Those are some crisp clear and well focused pictures sir. You make some of us look much better than we have any right to expect!
...and Mr. NoNose - you get the nod for best action shot in the History of bowyering! You totally captured the exact most that little bow decided to become overlay stock instead of a bow.

Thanks to one and all for posting their pictures.

Here are a few more PIX I managed to collect from my brother's camera phone:
The first couple here are of my nephew Kathan's bow. It has an 'odd shaped' handle and some flipped up tips. The profile of the pistol grip styled handle suggested a pregnant female profile, and since the tips of the bow, (which hold the nocks) are flipped up, we toyed with the idea of calling her "kNocked Up" ( ::) :o 8) ;D )

Good pics Eric. Pics like this sort of capture the essence of the event.
-
Great to see the younger folks getting interested. Way to go Eric !
-
Well I found another picture from mojam. Me throwing my first atlatle! Patrick (http://i1335.photobucket.com/albums/w668/lebhuntfish1/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-08/20140719_183024_zpsdym2omx7.jpg) (http://s1335.photobucket.com/user/lebhuntfish1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-08/20140719_183024_zpsdym2omx7.jpg.html)

Glad you explained that Patrick. At first glance I thought you were "ticked" and tossing your bow away. :) I've been there!!
