Here's something I've been working on. I've been wanting to make a NW style bow for a while and started on it today with 5 hours of sinewing. It is Yew, two inches at the fades and was pulling 28" at 50# before sinewing. It is 51" N to N.
I'm going to paint it with natural pigments and seal it with the rendered deer fat I have. I have also made a sinew string.
-
Man that is nice I want to see it when it is done.
-
Thanks, Mr. Yeti. I had to bring it inside. After the rain came the humidity was turning the sinew ad hide glue to mush.
-
Eddie! You dirty little nock teaser!
-
allwrite Eddie, I'm gonna be waiting in this one
-
That ought to spit out an arrow! Reverse braced for reflex? Can't wait to see it finished with color
Tracy
-
Tracy, yea, I have it reversed. It's raining everyday lately so I'll have to see how long it will take for the glue to set.
-
What did ya sinew the belly for Mullet? ;D That will be an amazing little bow once its finished.
-
Will watching that closely, I also have an other NW Bow in mind ...
Looks good so far!
-
Wooo, I want to see that baby when she's done.
You can ship her over for extensive testing if you like >:D

Should be killer if your making it while drinking sum Pittsburgh water in a can ... >:D

Great looking start Eddie, going to keep an eye on this one......makes me want to get back to sinewing another.... :)

That's mighty fine! Jawge
-
Wow That looks like its gonna be a missile launcher! I gotta try sinew one day soon
-
I wanna see that baby bend! Cool little bow, Eddie 8)
-
Just put another layer on today. It has what I'm guessing is three layers, all overlapping with 1' pieces of sinew. I built the handle layer up pretty thick. I want it bending real good and hopefully not break while I go for that 28" draw.
-
That's looking great so far man. Can't wait to see the bend on er
-
I moved the bow out of the house and AC and into my Jeep to dry. I got in it the other day and saw on the thermometer it was a 116 dgsF inside. Found a new use for the Jeep besides hunting hogs. :D
-
looking good thus far, I'm waiting to see that baby bend as well!
-
Eddie Parker making a short bow?! Now this I have to see! Can't wait!
-
Parnell, that's a short bow for some folks. For others, well maybe not so much. O:)
-
Steve, I went through the "shorty" stage a long time ago, I'm building this one because I've always wanted one in that style.

Always nice to see a can of lager on display....in every picture....
Nice to see a kindred spirit ;)
