Hey everyone. Here's a B.L. selfish with the Sapwood on. To dul it some I rubbed red chalk on the back and finished with tru-oil. The bow is 64" 50#@27". I haven't weighed it but it's very light and fast. It's still a bit scary to shoot. I only have A few hundred shots out of it. Also I cut this tree about 4 yrs. Ago and packed it a country mile to get home. When all said and done I end end up with this and maybe one other stave do to bug and woodpeckers borrowing into it.

This bow looks extra primitive... Cool!!

Very nice character in that bow. Like it was said by icu812, it has a good primitive look to it. But nobody would equate that with crude or poorly made!!!
By the way, nice bow wood under the bow in the 4th picture. You might wanna split that into staves before ground rot gets to it! >:D

It's already in the workshop waiting. I found that if I wait six months or so before I split the wood it won't curl as bad.

Very nice! Congratulations!
