Title: bow tip repair?
Post by: JEB on August 23, 2014, 06:35:36 am
I have a 50's Bear static recurve that has one of the tip over lays coming apart, starting at the tip.  How should I repair this?

Take the tip off and re glue?

Put glue in the crack and clamp?

what glue should I use?

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

I think I'd put superglue in the crack and clamp it. Will you post pics?

Pat, I asked this same question on a couple of other trad sites and pretty much got the same answer as yours so super glue it is.  A buddy has Kwik it super glue which is runny and super strong so I will give that a try.

I don't know how to post photos or I certainly would. Thanks for your help.
