Title: TBIII cure time?
Post by: JonW on September 05, 2014, 10:41:14 pm
Well I finally went and glued up some boards and clamped them in my caul. How long should I leave it? TBIII glue.

I always wait 24 hours before working a TB3 glue joint.  Though I have unclamped laminated bows at 12 hrs.

Yep, 24 is what I try to do.  I'm often a bit impatient.

On flat glue ups or if there is no significant reflex glued in I have started laying out the bow after about 12 hours. If you glued in much reflex, I agree with the others. You should wait 24 to be safe.

Thanks guys. Kenny I glued in about 2 1/2" of reflex. I guess I'll take it off the caul this evening and see what I have.
