Here is the second Hickory backed Ipe that I have been working on. It was made from the scraps from the first one that I made a few weeks ago. I wanted a slightly lighter weight bow for the upcoming rabbit season.
Stats: 66" ntn, 47#@26". Almost forgot to mention that this is only 1" wide.
Obviously not finished in any way

Taking shape, ya shot any arrows thru 'er yet..?

No arrows yet...it was too dark when these photos were taken. I'll throw a few tonight and see how she performs.

Funky nocks! Hope it brings you luck.

Looking forward to pics of the finished bow!
I'll be starting 1st HBI in next few weeks. So on the lookout for any tips/tricks that increase odds of success. What limb thickness did your IPE & hickory start at? Any additional pics of the glue up that illustrate the setup?
Thanks.

Thanks, I thought I would try something a bit different

No extra pics. Like everyone says...do a dry run! Also, use more clamps than I had. I wish I had at least 12 more of the squeeze clamps. Ipe was 1/2" thick and Hickory was 1/8" thick.

Blob that is great- hit a rabbit with an arrow from that and there'd be nothing left but fur! :)

Nice, looking forward to seeing it finished up
