This is my latest back quiver. I made it quite small for hunting, it will hold 3 arrows nicely and can fit a few more if needed. It is made from brown and black dyed elk leather, with black sheep skin trim at the opening. It has a couple elk antler buttons and a couple turkey feathers for decoration. It was hand sewn with artificial sinew around the edges, and the shoulder strap was laced to the quiver with more elk hide. I really like the way this one fits and I will probably make more of this design in the future.

Thanks Don, my wife laughs at me when I first finish them and wear them around the house! She asks where my loin cloth is. ;D
-
That's sharp right there! And adequately sized for a hunting quiver.
-
Looks sharp! Strap attachment looks interesting ... got any closeups?

Really nice looking quiver work, love it. Thats my favorite style for hunting and what I use too, you did a great job on that one. :)

That looks really nice!

Thanks guys, I will try to get a few close up shots up later this evening after work.
-
Is there foam or padding in the bottom of it?
-
No Shane, it is all leather. Other than the piece of bamboo inside for rigidity.

Nice quiver, Falcon. Is it hand stitched? I love doing leather work. Very therapeutic!
-
Yea Pat, hand stitched the whole thing. Takes a while, but I like doing it. I can sit in my recliner and stitch while watching TV.
-
Me too. I love hand stitching. Very relaxing.
-
Nice, I like it.

That's some very nice work! I hope you have many years of enjoyment hunting with it.

Nice quiver! My bow bro HRhodes killed a red stag this fall and I acorn tanned the hide. I think I will make him a copy of this quiver. Excellent work!
