I use a whole pickupload to pad the concrete floor in my shop.  Great stuff, should you ever drop a tool, never breaks!

Amazing thing, since I started making bows, I have been growing.  Nowadays my workbench is about 8 inches too short!

If there's a market for it I'll go out and shave the crap out of a piece of wood, I'm not working. ;) It does make good dye when boiled.

I thought I read, someone wanted some for dyeing  something? Then he got an answer, day late I burnt mine yesterday.

Folks in the Rendezvous scene have all learned to watch my camp closely.  Whenever someone sees me take out my tools, they come a runnin' to clean up the osage shavings.  No better campfire starter in the free world short of "Boy Scout Water" (a.k.a. lighter fluid).

There was a post on Facebook about it. I would take them, but I have enough stuff being stored and not being used.  >:D

Jw, I disagree. Dryer lint makes a far better fire starter than osage. However, often times there is more osage than lint in my dryer lint trap.

I agree with osage shavings as fire starter, Hot and Fast.

Osage shavings start my wood stove every time it gets lit. Lint makes better tender, osage shavings make good kindling.

It may seem strange for Florida, but I save my scrap for fire starter, we have a short season to sit outside and have a fire for hot dogs and burgers over a real fire.

I save mine in my little coal stove I put in the shop. Only get to use it about 3 nights out of the year.

I made the mistake of burning some in my grill once. It boiled the paint off it. Brand new forgemaster grill with adjustable fire grate and extra thick meat grills. I was very upset. Burns real nice in my forge though.

If you have a good amount let me know what you want, I'll take them. They aren't shiny, but I'm sure this pack rat could find a hole to stuff them in!

That was a cool trade. I've had so many osage shavings and used them as fire starter/kindling that I never even thought someone would want them or that they would have more value to someone else. I really like em for the starter though so I don't think I'll be trading mine, lol.   Danny
