There are a few of us in Indiana.  There is a traditional archery club in Scottsburg Indiana.  We meet up there a few times a year.  And there is the Cloverdale shoot every summer.   Could you be more specific than east central IN?  I'm in Switzerland County.

If you really want to see some bow building check out the Tennessee Classic next spring.  Its a great place for a beginner to learn and get some guidance.  Some of the vendors have bow blanks.  If you get one from them they help you out until the bow is finished.  Matt Wirwicki is one of them and he is a great guy to teach you.  Here is a link to the post about this past Classic.  Lots of good pictures in it.

Not sure about east central, but an hour south of Indy we gather from time to time. Few guys in Indy area, just don't stay in touch with them anymore.
