Title: dyes and sealers

anyone have any simple home recipies for dyes and sealers for arrowshafts?

Kool-Aid or Rit dye mixed with alcohol for coloration and pine pitch varnish for a sealer.

Pat, do you use denatured alcohol with the rit dye? Patrick

Yes, Patrick. I guess any alcohol will work. I've even used white lightning.  ;)

Rit dye mixed with rubbing alcohol.  Paraffin wax applied with a blow dryer.  The wax will limit you to wrapping on feathers.
