Made this bow for my buddy's little girl. It's about 48" tip to tip. Bow is 12# @ 14". Handle is made up of different colored poplar some oak and mahogany and the back of the handle has a thin strip of purple heart. Tips are poplar and oak. Put some patterned burlap on the back for a little protection. Floppy rest with some leather and hemp wrap. I'm making a matching bow for her father.

Just some preliminary pictures. I have the bow tillered out to 26" and ~50#. Bow is 1.5" at the fades tapering straight to ~.5" tips. Im a little worried about the tips and may end up redoing them with a harder wood. I wanted the bow to match his daughters but the poplar on the tips is quite soft and I think it might not hold up as well when he starts shooting the bow regularly. I will try and post some pictures of the tips so you guys can give me your two cents.
