Here is one I've walked by for quite a while. The tree fell over several years ago, and had about a 5-6 foot clean section at the bottom... i was cutting firewood yesterday and decided to cut it.. split clean and relatively straight. big growth rings and great early/late ratio...

Great find! If only they all went that easy, lol
-
That's some nice Osage.
-
Those are some real nice rings

As a guy who almost never gets his hands on osage, my favorite part is how you had to "decide" to cut it. I'm always having to lie to myself, "Oh, yeah, if everything goes right, there might be three or four, 3/8" boards I could mill out of this 20" trunk, and steam them straight laterally...."
That looks just prime.

Nice tree and staves. Those rings look nice.

That Osage doesn't look good. The bark appears to have that giveittome disease.. I'll just swing by and pick it up:)
