Paddle faster! I hear banjos!
The town of Wildrose, North Dakota chose the "Roses" for their high school mascot. Imagine the high school boys being referred to as "Roses". Worse yet, to get there, they had to get thru middle school being called "Rosebuds".

Columbia MO has the Hickman High School Kewpies, and yes their mascot is a Kewpie Doll. I think it has the same effect as a boy name Sue, it is a rough school.
BTW...I did not go to school there...

That river and its giant cats are on my bucket list bushy. I remember watching Al Linder fishing it on TV when I was a young man.

Almost every Canadian town or village has some kind of mascot/icon.here's the one in the small village where I live.if you like to shoot ducks and geese it's the place to be in the fall!this area is a main migration route for honkers!lol!sounds like a war zone for much of the fall and attracts many southerners.
