At our ranch in Texas Hill country this week i found some points by the old boys. some were in the bottom of a cave and some were laying on top of the ground. As we were hunting arrowheads i found some flint and made a point from it. The point is a sabinal, because i have found two sabinal points that were made from the same material. As i was in the hill country i was invited to some property to pick up flint. I found lots of good stone there. But lots was freeze cracked and crazed. I made this knife as a gift for the son of the man.

Giving a knife like that you should get a big welcome next time. The point is pretty too.

Nice knife what kind of wood did you use for the handle.

Thanks everybody. The wood is mesquite. The point stone was raw.

I love splunking around down there. Cool to find stuff like that. Man can never have too many knives, me like.

Nice finds and knapping! Thanks for posting those!

Sounds like a fun time! Love the combo of materials on that knife. That mesquite is purty!
