Title: 3rd self bow- 49# at 28

Hey guys this is my third self bow. Big thanks to Osage outlaw for welling me the stave. It took me a long time to get the courage to tackle the checks in it. I worked it out so the main one was in the handle and the smaller one was in the limb. I had to make the limbs a bit wide for Osage to work the checks into it without them running off the edge. This is my first hunting weight bow which I'm pretty excited about. The bow took about 3\4 in permanent set and about a little over 1 after shooting. The tiller isn't perfect but I'm still a newb  and it shoots nice and hits hard(which I'm comparing to all my sub 40 bows haha). Thanks for looking I know it's nothing compared to some of your guys bows but it's a start.

thanks man you got it just take your time. I'm just glad I finally got one over 30 lbs

Hey man way to be ballsy with those checks!  I think it looks good!  The bottom might look a tad stiff but still nice.

Looks like you did a nice job working around the defects to get a good bow out of that stave.....congrats!   Keep at it.  I agree that the bottom limb may be a wee bit stiff but great job for #3.

Thanks guys I really appreciate the comments. Ya the bottom is stiff but I wanted it a little stiffer and I didn't wanna lose anymore weight.

come on down erik. I lost three arrows yesterday shooting gonna have to trim some shrubs and rake till I find them lol. BBQ and shooting whenever you can make it over.
