Title: Pine cones?
Post by: JoJoDapyro on May 15, 2015, 10:46:42 pm
Does anyone know of a nifty use for pine cones? This tree is out to bust my back! This is just what I have picked up from this spring.

Not sure if yours are full of tar, but I use a dry still to extract the tar from mine to make pitch glue.

I burned all of them last year. But there was only about a wheelbarrow full. I'll look into a dry still.

My nephews love to throw them at me. My dog enjoys chewing on them. How does one go about making a dry still?

I've boiled the tar and added it to my pine pich glue. Makes a hot glue way better than you can buy.
