Title: Good logs?

Im cut these hickory logs Down and im wondering if they will make good bows. (http://i62.tinypic.com/33vm5j4.jpg)

Yup they will. I'd split them and start drying them.

not to mention, there are some six legged nasties that can create problems if you eave the bark on. (ask me how I know!)

Do i need to seal the whole log if i peel the bark

Not as long as you split it into staves.  If you split it, sealing the ends will be sufficient.  I wouldn't recommend leaving them in the round anyway.  Josh
