Title: first time splicing feathers
Post by: paulsemp on June 11, 2015, 09:14:34 pm
been getting a little burnt out building bows lately so I've decided to dedicate the next few months to arrows. anyone that's seen my work knows I don't put a ton of time into my arrows but that being said I'm still sick of losing them at 3d shoots. Drew aka black coyote gave me some spliced feathers a few years back and I've been sitting on them ever since. never really found anything special to put them on so I was looking at them the other day and trying to figure out how to do it. this is what I came up with and by no means is it perfect but I'm quite happy for my first try and look forward to playing with it a little more

That combo looks nice Paul, that yellow will make them easier to find sticking in the fence behind the target in your backyard. ;)

Gotta be able to see/find them and your self nocks are invisible. I like it.

nice work!

All my hunting arrows are spliced with chartreuse on the back end....I want to know where I hit a deer!

Yellow is a decent color till fall- pink and blue are two other colors that stand out in the woods.
