I have some really nice pieces of this. Has anyone ever made a selfbow out of black walnut heartwood?
-
No but I have the sap wood.It should work but it is really hard to chase a grain,it is so dense you can't really tell where it goes,at least what I have worked with was.You might back it wit rawhide or something or it might be OK.I just don't know for sure. ??? I am sure someone will chime in that
has used it. :)
