I think tip overlays get glued to the back side of the bow but I am a comound guy trying to break the mold to be a traditional guy as well. lol
So tip overlay on a board bow belly or back?
Thanks,
Chris.

Overlays go on the back, I have seen a few bows with underlays though.
Welcome to PA cam188, glad to hear that you've seen the light ;D

I fought the archery light for a long time and it finally sucked me in. Now the traditional side is doing the same lol.....

May the force be with you. :) You don't need those training wheels, anyway. ;D

Yes, tip overlays go on the back (side facing away from you when you're shooting). They can serve a functional purpose, making the tip last longer with FF string, but mostly they add eye candy, and are usually a contrasting wood or colour. Remember, the string on a longbow only touches the limb at the nocks (tips).
Good on yah for giving up your training wheels. Free your bow, your mind will follow.

That's a beautiful tip adb. How did you get the skin to flow around the tip so nicely?

Not giving up the training wheels just expanding my knowledge. I still love technology as well lol....
