Title: another drum done
Post by: Jodocus on September 30, 2015, 06:04:24 am
Here's a darbouka from the last firing that finally got a skin. Made of dirt and deer (roebuck), no additives or electricity involved  ;) I'm quite pleased with the tone of that one. By tightening or loosening the lashing, I can tune it to some extent, for example a nice fourth below the small black drum I posted rectently, wich makes for a lively pair of drums to play together.

I have 4 more to go, and will probably post those too, then turn to some frame drums, I guess. should anyone have experience with these, I'd be greatful for any advice about how deep the drum should be, or any abo methods to join the frame ends.
