I made this bow about 3 years ago as my hunting bow. It's a Bamboo backed Rosewood RD with Rat Snake skins. The bow is 63" long overall and the limbs are 1 1/8" wide tapering to 1/4" nocks, it's tillered to 28" where it pulls just under 55#. I never chronoed the bow but it does shoot pretty fast, probably around 180 fps with 10 GPP arrows. It turned out that I hardly had any time to go hunting that year so the bow saw little use :(. How beautiful a bow can be!
Beauty at its best: great look, great performance.
Looking at this bow, I can't understand why people are wasting their time with plastic bows!

Mark makes it look easy, those bows are not that easy to tiller out the way he does.

@Marc
real a good workmanship - you know the way to build short and fast and beauty bows.....

The Rosewood is a beautiful wood with striking grain and makes a good looking bow. It's also very oily and with its high density makes it a good wet weather hunting bow. I've used one of these when it was raining out and it didn't suffer any effects from the moisture

Very nice work Mark. Looks very smooth and fast.

Another rocket launcher and pretty, as usual.
