Title: Cool Wood
Post by: Zuma on October 21, 2015, 05:46:36 pm
A buddy stopped by last night. He teaches engineering
principals in Lexington VA.
We were shootin the breeze and he asked if I wanted
to see some of his teaching aids.
Of course I said "affirmative"
Here is one of them. Thought you all might enjoy.

Thanks for the replies fellas.
I will see f I can get a better photo.
It's from the 1700s.
Some kind of yarn winder?
The grain looks like yellow Pine to me
but it's very light. I'd be dried out
to if I was that old.

I have heard about that wood.
There is a key named after it  in the Floeida Keys.
Wood like that that grows in coral sand and salt
water must be tough. 8)
