I have some thin can and would like to use it to wrap a handle. I know you soak it first but can't find any videos of the process. Advice?

I just soak it in warm water for about 10 minutes. Re-wet with a damp cloth if it starts to dryout while wrapping.

If it's brittle soak it in warm water. If it's pliable and your handle curves aren't too aggressive you don't need to soak.
Towel them off good if you do and wrap away. You can use super glue, but I use a hot glue gun now. Dries very fast, and isn't so gross to use.

How wide is the caning? The thinner it is the longer the strand needs to be so you don't have a splice in it. I think it's something like 15' long for 1/8". I wrapped it like I do string serving with both ends tucked under the wrap and add super glue around the top and bottom edge and between the wrap where the tags are tucked under.
