My grandfather passed away this morning he was one Hell of a man he raised 4 of his own kids plus my brother & me. He served in WWII taught me how to hunt trap & fish & everything I know about farming & cattle he even got me started in hunting arrowheads.

I feel ya man.
I thought my Grandad walked on water. He was the best friend i ever had and the greatest impact on my life.

Sorry to hear that Rob. I'm glad you got to spend as much time as you did and he lived for as long as he did.
My grandpa was my war hero, work ethic hero, "how to be a man" hero and every hero in between. We let him go Feb 24th 2014. But I have his picture staring at me in my shop, the ol' boy never takes his eye off me, or my work. :)

Sorry for your loss, Rob. Sounds like lots of good memories to get you through the hard times.

I lost mine this January. He was a very quiet man. My first baby sitter, Baseball coach, and life coach. He shaped me into a man.
My thoughts are with you and yours in your tough time.

I have been praying for you since you first spoke of your grandfathers troubles. Grandfathers can be very special people. I did not get to know my dads da, but my moms dad was a great man. More prayers coming your way as you get through this difficult time.

I read a story one time. I think it was called "foot steps in the corn row".
The young man goes arrowhead hunting with his gramps often.
He learns so much besides finding artifacts while talking to gramps on
the outings. When out hunting arrowheads after his gramps has gone
to the Lord he finds foot print always accompanying him in the next row.
I hope you see some Rob
all the best Zuma

Condolences... it's the memories and the things we've been taught that help keep someone's memory alive. When you pass on skills and knowledge, you can also pass on a bit of your Grandfather...

Rob,
I send my condolences to you and the family,. I will remember you tomorrow during his funeral. Several Years ago Rob had me make a point from one of the Glass flag slabs. Rob presented it to his Pap in remembrance of his Service in WWII.. I was honored to do that for him. Today Rob told me he was going to place it in his Pap coffin to take with him. Am even more honored to know that. My heart goes out to you and the family.
