Hello again,
you gave me the courage to show you another bow I yesterday finished.
It is an osage recurve from a thin and knotty osagestick., which has an enormous restoring force (is it correct?)
She is 58" long, 56" ntn, 1,4" to 0,27" wide and pulls around 50# by 28".
3 layers of deer sinew and the skin of a Walleye on the back.
The nocks are built from an antler and my old jacket gave me the leather for the grip.
Not easy to describe for me, because ...
I hope, the pics do it better.
Greetings
Peter

I know a good place to catch walleyes (Zander). When we had a lunch from it I shaped the skin to dry it.
My little daughter (19 Years) blamed me to do this.
When I showed the bow with shte skin on it she understood ...

Nice work. The skin looks great.
Zander is the European counterpart of the American Walleye.

Very beautiful bow, indeed! I love the skins, also. Your antler tips are really great. The handle is just what I like in a bow handle. really fine craftsmanship.
-
I like the bow - gnarly piece of wood, sinew and fish hide, that's all. And your old leather jacket is upcycled, too.
For testing you can send me the bow 8)

Man that bow is wicked! Are you sure you are not from Oklahoma or Montana or somewhere like that? Because that looks all American! :-)

You all are very friendly.
I like your american style bows. That's it

Very nice! I like it. Jawge

great bow! it's a shame the walleye skin doesn't retain the colors they have when alive - the color seems to fade shortly after death. Still looks great though!

Nicely done. Arvin

That is beautiful! I love me some nasty looking Osage!
