Title: Spirit Hunting Point.
Post by: iowabow on December 09, 2015, 06:54:24 pm
I found this flake while I was heading out to hunt. It looked like a real nice thinning flake from bifacing. I decided to see how it worked and  what it might tell me about how it was heat treated. It was really nice stone and I have worked this kind before. The platform seemed like it need to be a little stronger but it worked nicely.
It is going to be fun to enter the woods with this point. I choose a 3 year old dogwood shaft to make make the arrow from.

I have no idea if it's 300 or 8000 years old.
