Title: Winged elm stave.

Anybody got a good winged elm stave to trade.I've got lots and lots of things here to trade for it.Leather,horn,sinew,arrow shafts,staves,antler,and other stuff I'm not listing.

We do Ed. I have some quarter logs I cut in 2012 that are pretty big.

Super!!!!!I'm supposing you've made bows out of it before.The map says it's native way down south like Florida etc.Course that same map says osage is only in Texas and Oklahoma too.Think they need to do a little updating there....lol.

Oh that's ok.Got enough bows in the works anyway.I'll look up ulmus rubra.I suppose a different type of elm????

From what I've read about these different type of elms I should be going after rock elm.Ulmus thomasii.I'm thinking shagbark and pig nut hickory will do too.

I have some mockernut hickory that's a year old. It's clean and straight. I'll be up by St Louis the 16th of January for a bow gathering if you're interested let me know. You could join us if you would like. Patrick

Let me know, I think sleek might have some of the elm you're looking for. I'll ask him later.

I got some cut and seasoned winged elm if you are still looking. If you arent in a hurry i can drop it off at patrics ( lebhuntfish ) next time im by there. Im guessing you live close by there?

Yep I see it.It's a good 5 hour drive for me.I'd have to pick a day with nothing to do as it would take all day.
