Title: Burlington clovis
Post by: Stringman on January 09, 2016, 06:16:55 pm: This works so well, I just had to show it. Burlington Clovis I struck free hand. Darn near a dead ringer for the over street photo.

Post by: Dalton Knapper on January 10, 2016, 12:45:14 pm: That is indeed a great job. Those flutes look like percussion flutes. Did you use direct percussion? I've realized by looking at a lot of percussion fluted points that the terminal end of the flute scar on them often is thicker, or slightly hinged if you prefer, than those flutes done with jigs and pressure.

Regardless, that's one to be proud of making.

Both flutes were successful, but the overall point isn't quite as nice.

Post by: Stringman on January 12, 2016, 03:44:24 pm: Jo, I used my copper cap billet with the copper reducer soldered inside. It is a little heavier than my simple cap bopper and had just the right heft for the job.
