We live in Bandera, Tx. I have been trying to find a primitive archers club or a building mentor to learn.

I'm in New Braunfels TX.  Would love to meet up  but I'm more of a knapper than a bowyer.

I'm going to try to make the knap-in in Johnson City in April, maybe we could meet up at that event.
