This past weekend was the Sopchoppy River Park knapin in FL.
Simpson was the contest point. Here are a couple from Don and Mark.
Paper thin exceptional knapping.

This little guy hung out in a tree near me and entertained the folks
at the event.

Zuma, we have loads of those white squirrels here in Brevard. They have been here for years. Apparently a pair were brought up from FLA by a couple and they escaped. The White Squirrel is our town's mascot.
-
Pat, from what I understand these squirrels were introduced near the park also.
What a target they should be for Redtailed hawks?
Here is a great piece of work by Mark.
I was kidding with him about entering a potty point
Simpson and handed him a hunk of WC.
20 minutes later he was back with this.----

You would think hawks would have wiped them out but up here the numbers are increasing. My only explanation is the hawks leave them alone because they think they are the ghosts of squirrels past. ;D

Great points...Thanks for sharing those.
Those squirrels are just another white meat in my book.

Don, how's Brackin doing? Haven't seen him in years.

Eddie, Mark is doing well as far as I know. His knapping is superb.
He did the thronestone justice. To bad you didn't get to the events.
Maybe next year. I gotta go get Eric out of the clutches of the
two German girls at the campground and take him fishin for his
own good >:D
