I finished this a few weeks ago and I've shot a couple hundred arrows through it. It seems to shoot nice and smooth and likes 400 spine arrows with 125 grain points. Nock point set with arrow square to the string.
It's 50# @25 58" ntn 6" brace with even tiller. 1 1/2" at fades to 1/2" tips. Osage tip overlays Raw hide handle wrap. Red stain with armature art work on the belly.
It had a few heavy coats of teak oil followed by several thin coats of tru oil. I've taken the shine off since the pictures were taken and coated with gun stock wax.

Here a 60 yard group from today

That is a fine looking bow. Nice job!

Fine looking and shooting bow.Course it matters who's shooting it too.Good group for 60 yards.Guess a person gets to see the arch in archery shooting at that range heh...lol.400 spine...is that carbide talk?

Nice bend and I like that profile. Good looking bow!
I'd be happy to hit the bales at 60 yards. :)
-
Thats way cool. The side profiles are killer! :)

Great looking bow. Nicely done.

Thanks for your comments.
It can be a little intimidating to post work on the site. There some very creative and skilled people here.
And yes Beadman, carbon arrows. (Hang head in shame) ; :-[

Great lookin stik ya got there. Nicely done.
-
Very nice, I like that bendy handle.
-
Nice work here!
Hope you don't mind. And could be the camera angle either.
Looking at the f/d I think it is a bit too much bend at the handle, and could be a bit more on the mid lower.
No offense buddy, just my thoughts.
Keep 'em coming!

Your comments are welcome Simson, I see what you're seeing. I do have other fd pictures that look a bit different
I started with a deflexed handle and the tips were even with the back. It's taken just about 1" set almost from first full brace and close to full draw. It hasn't moved any more since after few hundred shots. I might touch it up after some more shooting if it starts to change. So far it's holding.

Emmet, Great craftsmanship on that bow. I have chased a ring on a thinner piece of osage that does not have enough material for a handle. I am going to attempt my first bendy handle.
You mentioned the limb is 1-1/2" wide to 1/2" nock. Is it a pyramid or does it run straight for most of the limb then tapper?

SWEETTTTTTTTTTTT

Not a pyramid. It slowly tapers till around the last 8" or so. I was actually trying for something I could keep strung and shoot for most of the day without too much stress. It's just came out like it is. Other bows I have seem to loose a little by the end of the day.

Here's another I had out today. It my attempt at a more primitive type sort of.
I bought an ugly stave and tried to make something out of it. It was 1" 1/8 wide at the widest full of cracks a bad twist from one end to to other one end was deflexed the other reflexed. About 20 ring per inch 10 knots on the back. I took off about 10 ring or so to get to one that looked like a ring.
After gluing cracks and bending into shape, heat treating I started to think it may hold.
I expected it to blow apart every time I drew it. I started to call it Bad juju just cause I'd flinch and get ready for pain.
I decided to try some staining and feathers since I seen it on PA and thought why not. I also tried a artificial sinew string.
56 ntn 50" @ 25 Osage 5" brace Osage tip overlays

A little reflex left after shooting.
-
Nice work, both turned out very good. :)

Nice, those belly rings looks great stained
-
Sounds like you had to fight to get a bow out of that second one, those bows can be rewarding when you pull it off successfully.
They both look mighty good, nice work.
-
great shooting,, congrats on your bows,, :)
-
Very nice bows. I really like the first one.

Well done!
