Looks like that cortex is buried down in a concavity.  No way to dig it out when it's like that.

That cooked Buffalo River?  Did it come from Eric?  I got some as a Christmas present and am having trouble with it.  It seems to snap very easily.  Maybe over cooked?  What I have left I'll save for next time I run into you.  I'd like your opinion on it.

Fine work there. I have always thought a little cortex adds to the appearance of points, unless it is crumbly limestone chalk.

Thanks gents :)
There is a bit of character to a point with
cortex and the color/ pattern it can leave.
Keith -yep a concavity lol so I took advantage.
Some of the lighter colored stuff can be a pain.
I have snapped a few when I get to high on a platform
or the platform is just a little bit to thick and round. :-[

Lookin goot Z man! I do find the "dregs" a bit more challenging. Not too many I can't find some kind of point in.
