Hello, all:
I am getting much better at identifying trees, but I am not sure about this one. This was a BIG tree located in Michigan. I am not sure it is even a tree indigenous to Michigan, but it certainly could be.

Elm most don't live that long anymore. Usally get Dutch Elm before that

First time I see actual bark on Elm. Completely destroyed here by that DE disease. But wood in it looks healthy, maybe it can be used? It is tough as steel.
