I got a blade from Hickory Bill and added the handle scales. Thanks Bill. It is just what I was looking for. I think this wood is zebra wood and I extended the handle a bit and filled the void with a small piece of ipe. Brass pins finish it off. I sealed the handle with 2 coats of superglue. Here are a few pics...

...oh, did I say it was gonna be a neck knife. I'll make the sheath and post pics then too. The penny shows the size.

Thanks guys but I did the easy part. Bill does make a nice blade. This is my second one. My last one I gave to Cody at the Classic 2 years ago just before he left on his bicycle tour of America.
I will post pics with the sheath when done.

Perfect.

Great looking knife Pat....and Bill
-
Nice knife I thought to myself that's a good size one till I saw the penny. Lol
-
Very nice lil' knife!
The penny makes the knife look like a miniature 😂
-
This will be a neck knife so I wanted it small. It's about 4" t/t. I got some brain tan scraps from Nclonghunter a while back so I'll make the sheath from that.

Got to love that, beautiful by both of yall. :)

That'd be a good name for that knife..."Penny For Your Thoughts".
Mighty nice, very useful.

pat the first knife I ever put together I also bought a blade from Bill. It turned out nice and I have made 3 others since then . I still have 8 others in different stages and am learning as I go but love the first one.

I made a neck sheath for my Hickory Bill neck knife. I used some scrap brain tanned leather someone sent me for another project. I think it came out nice...

Very attractive knife Pat, love the sheath work too.
-
The sheath and the knife, both complement eachother. Nice job!
-
Thanks guys.
I didn't like the way it looked with the brain tanned lacing so I opted for contrasting hemp cord stitching. I like the contrast of it.
Since I was putting a sharp, steel knife in the sheath I used a rawhide liner to protect the brain tanned leather. I stitched the rawhide liner in when I stitched the sheath....
