Title: Size vs. weight
Post by: Tracker0721 on August 22, 2016, 01:57:36 pm
So I'm bopping out some heads and made a few too small, and then 1 that needs to be trimmed still a bit and just wanted to show what 30 grains difference of obsidian looks like. Weights are 74, 80, 80, 114. The 3 lighter ones just are about 1"x 2"

By just a slight change in thickness, the weight can be changed a lot. I have done fine balancing in notches or the angle of the base, changes that make almost no difference in the appearance.

Now when you go to spline your shafts you will have varying weights to help with the process.

I fixed the bigger one to 90, and the 74 got thrown in a box. 80-90 and 90-100 go on hunting arrows
