Blue grouse in the high country ...mmmm good eatin.. not difficult to hunt but fun.. I have hunted and killed pheasant on the wing witha bow .. but you will need lots of arrows and a lot of birds.. to be successful..

I'm going on a Pheasant hunt this weekend. A sportsman club here does a hunt every year.

25 archers and 50 birds. The birds are released one at a time in the air, everyone shoots at them, we shoot 6 arrows go pick those up and do it again. After all the birds are released we break up into groups of 4 or 5 and hunt them down.

I,ve tried for Ruffed Grouse, but have not connected yet.  ;D

Nailbender, We only use blunts or field points because we have dogs there.
