Title: Applying snake skins

Hi, guys,
I want to put skins on a hickory selfbow that has been finished with tru-oil. Do I need to remove the finish? Or just apply over the finish?
I plan to use TiteBond to glue the skins on.
Any suggestions?

Remove the finish. I doubt the glue would stick to oil.
