I love having critters roaming through the yard. A moose would be very cool.

That is cool, Joe. I ate some moose for the first time when I was in Alberta a few weeks ago.
-
I love seeing them. Im not a fan of close encounters though. Can be a very intimidating situation.
-
That just cool right there. Is it common to have moose in your yard?

I'm a wondering. That looks like maybe he's walking close or through a clear cut for high lines????Do the bugs[black flies and misquitos drive them out into the open at times too???I know they do up in Canada.

We have had a young cow in the yard earlier this year and some each year. When the ranch bison are in the front pasture the moose stay away. Since we have lived here we have had several mountain lions, black and grizzly bears, elk, white tails, turkeys, pheasants, fox, coyotes, coons, and skunks in the yard or what we call the fairway. I built a fence around the house to try to keep them out. I have a picture of several hundred elk on the hill side across the road from the house. I hope to be able to post that picture. Antelope season for me starts in a couple of days and I have been seeing some really nice bucks this fall. Saw a really big bull elk the other day so hope to see him again next month. Joe
