Title: marble dip
Post by: chessieboy on March 03, 2008, 12:52:52 pm
I started to marble dip my shafts. I love the look but want to put a finish over the dip. I'm using testers paint for the marble part. They said to use clear arrylic over their emamel but it still bleeds/eats the paint. Anyone have any suggestions? I'll try to get some pics up later still getting the process refined.

I've used Tru-oil and spray-on poly over acrylic paint with no problems.

ya ever tried using borax in water and then putting oil paint in it stir alittle then dip, Ya get a swirly effect. The Borax keeps the paint at the surface of the water.ya can use multiple colors all at once.

Use the minwax water based polycrylic that comes in the blue spray can.
