A friend sent me a knife made from a farriers file. They have fantastic carbon steel in them and the knife is of great quality. I decided to make an older representation of the knife. The blade is NC Rhyolite, figured since the guy is a NC native, I felt that was appropriate. It is pine pitch glued but not wrapped with sinew yet.

I like them both.

Oh man, what a pair of sisters! Not sure which one I would ask out first, or be a dirty dog and go for broke asking BOTH!
-
functionally it depends on what your using it for, if im cutting food im gonna use the metal one, if im skinning a deer im gonna use the stone one.
