Title: "Tree Leather Industrial Grade Craft Paper"
Post by: PatM on November 30, 2016, 08:57:54 pm
Anybody get their hands on some of this? It's said to have linear wood fibers. Lee Valley sells tote bags and wallets etc made with it. Sounds like a backing material worthy of experimentation. Kind of like a paper rawhide.
Haven't seen a source for it yet though.

Barkcloth is similar, possibly the same. You can buy it by the yard from Joanne Fabrics in black(or vintage couch pattern).

I've wanted to try Tyvek as a backing. Not primitive but neither is tightbond. The company recommends animal based glues to bond it.
